The speed of thought.

The consciousness seems a point. This is not the self, which is complex and extended. I think of that figure which describes the relation of brain and mind: the space, and then the dual space. The set of mappings of the space into a field. Perhaps the reals.

Duration, then. The flow of time.

At once in one temporal place, and moving. It is never at rest. It is moving, at the speed of thought.

Like the Dirac electron. For always (when you look, says the quantum theory of measurement) it is travelling at the speed of light. Thought the mean square comes out as less.

A function which is continuous, but nowhere differentiable.
